This is a very good hardcover copy in tan paper-covered boards with red leather title labels, titles in gilt. This volume collects together five separate issues of Poet Lore, each with a story by Maxim Gorki. The numbers are Summer 1904, Autumn 1905, Winter 1905, Winter 1906 and Summer 1906. The individual Gorki stories are: The Reader, Summer Folk, A Night's Lodging, A Snug Citizen and The Children of the Sun. One set of the original paper covers bound in. Occasional blue pencil marks to other material in several issues. 10" high X 7" wide, 51, 90, 64, 74 and 77 pages.
